Our staffs are trained to the highest standards and DBS checks are compulsory for all the team members in the organization. All our staffs are well trained before they start to work with us. Our comprehensive induction training which is regularly updated to all the latest care standards helps our staff to get overall understanding of our work in better and enhanced manner.

Care4Wales has a responsibility to its Clients and employees to ensure that staff receive the correct training and are supported in their development whilst working within the company. This policy identifies the areas in which this will happen and how staff development will be facilitated.

Corporate Induction- All new staff members will be introduced slowly to the company, starting with the corporate induction. This is taken place over a period of one week whereby staff will learn about the company, its purpose and philosophy and the management structure. Staff will also have the opportunity to read company policies and procedures and undertake specific training.

Service User Induction- Where possible, new staff members will undertake supernumery shifts that will allow them to gain the knowledge on the service provided, Providers’ ethos and philosophy of care, their service users and the care involved within their settings. This will also involve reading and understanding policies that relate to the service users you will support and other care aspects.

Training- New staff members will receive ongoing training, both mandatory and specialist training. This training will be provided by our internal Trainers or sought externally. Specialist training (essential to our service user group) is also delivered throughout your time spent with the company and you will have the opportunity to request courses they feel will benefit their development through clinical supervision.

Training Matrix- This is carried out by the company’s Human Resource department who is responsible for ensuring all core and mandatory training is complete and that employees are given updates when required to maintain high standards of care.
